New Information Emerge About the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Recent details have emerged regarding the shocking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their residence property on Sunday.

The Discovery

A source indicates citing a family associate, a practitioner scheduled for an appointment first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the home. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

When she went into the house, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Charges

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now in custody and denied bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant challenged several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the property, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that juncture.

The source also refuted circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's behavior in recent weeks. Instead the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to accounts of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. While the source noted they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "major confrontation" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement officials, the coroner had still not confirmed at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts noted the condition of their bodies suggested they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, about 15 miles from the family home. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
