US actor Finn, who was seen in iconic television series like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in Los Angeles on Monday after undergoing treatment for cancer since 2022, per media reports.

"Pat considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his family shared in a message.

They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".

A Notable TV Career

His debut TV appearance was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He subsequently landed a recurring role on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.

He played the part of Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.

During the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of popular shows, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House

Finn was perhaps best known for playing the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series over nearly a decade.

His work in movies encompass "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

He was involved with a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat coached, befriended and mentored many learners throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared online.

Finn is survived by his wife Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
